Instrumental and Vocal Department (Cello)
Cellist Kayla Herrmann comes from a family of professional musicians. She received a BM at the North Carolina School of the Arts, a MM with a full scholarship for chamber music at the Hartt School of Music studying with Astrid Schween, and completed her Suzuki training with Nancy Hair. In 2010, Ms. Herrmann was awarded the Kenan Fellowship at the Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education in New York City. Ms. Herrmann performs and teaches in New York City. She is on the faculty at the Diller-Quaile School of Music and Silver Music.
