Instrument AND Voice Lessons FOR ADULTS

The Adult Department welcomes all who are interested in instrument instruction, ensemble classes, and chamber music coachings and workshops. Both beginners and experienced players and singers will find a supportive environment for developing proficiency and confidence on their chosen instrument. Diller-Quaile’s faculty is made up of distinguished performers and experienced and caring educators, who shape an individualized course of study for each student. Diller-Quaile accompanists visit string, woodwind, brass, and voice lessons regularly, and Adult Department Recitals provide performance opportunities for interested students.

Instruction for beginning through advanced students is offered for: Voice, Piano, Harp, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Recorder, and Saxophone.

Both in-person and live remote programs are available.

STEPS FOR APPLYING

Step 1: Complete the application and submit the application fee. The most effective way to register is via computer, instead of smartphone. Thank you.

Step 2: Complete the “Scheduling Form” sent to the email tied to your account.

Step 3: If you are new to instrument study at Diller-Quaile, the Department Coordinator will contact you to schedule a placement interview. At the interview, experienced students may play or sing one of their current pieces. Children new to study will have the opportunity to try an instrument while together we assess their readiness for study. At Diller-Quaile the emphasis is on tailoring programs for each student’s educational needs, from beginning to advanced players.

Step 4: Following the interview, Department Heads will work with you to plan a program.
