Anneliesa Trethewey
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEPARTMENT - ACCOMPANIST
Anneliesa graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy in 2019. As a highly motivated individual, Anneliesa continued her music studies and graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano for Vocals.During her studies at the Manhattan School, Anneliesa performed and assisted in the music arrangement for two pianos the orchestral score of Verdi’s La Traviata to accompany thethree acts of the opera.
Anneliesa believes that music education is a life-long pursuit, and has continued to pursue other training and educational opportunities and enhance her musical artistry in performance. In the summer of 2021, she participated in the Classic Lyric Arts in Collaborative Piano for Vocals. Currently, she is enrolled at The Juilliard School in the evening program for jazz piano.
Anneliesa was a music director over various musical theatre productions such as Peter and the Star Catcher, Oklahoma, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Shrek. Anneliesa was the accompanist in many cabarets at Don’t Tell Mama, and Groupmuse in New York City. She has also performed on audition recordings for many vocalists.
Currently, Anneliesa is the accompanist in the vocal studio of Dr. Robert Osbourne at Barnard College, and Columbia University where she assists in vocal coaching and collaborateswith students on various genres including opera, musical theatreand popular music. Anneliesa is the accompanist for a musical theatre performance class at the Manhattan School of Music.
