High school instrumental and vocal students will discover a wide range of inspiring programs and ensemble experiences at Diller-Quaile. Our distinguished faculty—accomplished performers and dedicated educators—support students as they explore the joys and challenges of musical study. High School Certificate Program

This three-year immersive program is ideal for students eager to join a vibrant community of young musicians who want to stretch themselves creatively and technically. Each week includes individual lessons, musicianship training, repertoire class, and ensemble participation, all designed to build a strong musical foundation. Students also enjoy abundant performance opportunities, annual jury examinations, and community service concerts. In 11th and 12th grades, participants present solo recitals and, upon completing all requirements, earn the Diller-Quaile High School Certificate

Audition Requirement
Students entering the tenth grade who wish to audition should submit an application for the 2026-2027 school year.

Application Process

Register
Click the "Apply for the 2026-2027 School Year" button on any program page to begin your application and fill out the scheduling form.

Placement Interview
If you/your child is new to instrument study at Diller-Quaile, the Department Coordinator will contact you to arrange a placement interview with the Department Head. During the interview, experienced students will perform one of their current pieces, while beginners will have the chance to try an instrument.

Program Planning
After the interview, the Department Head will collaborate with you/your family to develop a personalized program and schedule.
