Application Process

Register
Click the "Apply for the 2025-2026 School Year" button on any program page to begin your application.

Complete the Scheduling Form
Check your email for the Scheduling Form, which will be sent to the address associated with your account.

Placement Interview
If you/your child is new to instrument study at Diller-Quaile, the Department Coordinator will contact you to arrange a placement interview with the Department Head. During the interview, experienced students will perform one of their current pieces, while beginners will have the chance to try an instrument.

Program Planning
After the interview, the Department Head will collaborate with you/your family to develop a personalized program and schedule.

High School Certificate Program Applicants

Students applying to the High School Certificate Program must complete the standard application process outlined above.

This three-year intensive program is designed for students looking to join a community of like-minded musicians who want to stretch and challenge themselves. A weekly schedule of lessons, musicianship training, repertoire class, and ensembles is complemented by many opportunities for performance, annual jury examinations, and community service concerts. Students perform solo recitals in 11th & 12th grades and receive the High School Certificate upon completion of the program.

Audition Requirement
Current 9th-grade students interested in the Certificate Program must audition. Auditions will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025.

To receive an audition appointment, please submit your application for the 2025-2026 school year by Friday, May 30, 2025.
