Bio
Jyni Ekins joined Diller-Quaile in 2009. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Iowa State University and spent several years working as a journalist, non-profit fundraising writer, and in public relations. She obtained her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College and previously taught music in the Early Childhood Department. Jyni was a recipient of the Clifford-Levy Creativity Grant in 2012, through which she visited a rural village in South Africa, and taught early childhood music. She visited the village several times in the following years to volunteer, spending the time there working on literacy initiatives, educational research, as well as sharing and learning songs. Jyni has worked in many departments at Diller-Quaile, transitioning from Development to Finance in 2018. She now focuses on managing enrollment data, registration, and billing.
