A member of Diller-Quaile's faculty since 2005, NYC Pianist and composer Peter Yarin has been active for the past two decades, playing solo and in a variety of ensembles, as well as maintaining a busy career as session musician, composer and bandleader. Peter’s style combines a classical background with elements of both 1920s and modern jazz influences. Recently seen and heard on-camera in HBO’s “Succession”, “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”; Peter’s recording work has been featured in a host of tv shows and films. Some recent highlights include “Queen’s Gambit” “Don’t Worry Darling,” “The Pale Blue Eye” and “Joker”. He can be heard with 1920’s jazz orchestra, Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks on TV’s “Boardwalk Empire” for 5 seasons, and on the Grammy-winning soundtrack album for the show; Peter performs weekly at Birdland Jazz Club with the Nighthawks on Monday and Tuesday nights and a variety of other venues in NYC. Peter has composed the score for two original musicals "The Masked Zinfandel" and "Age of Innocence", and his original work has been featured in the BMI Songbook.
