Kirsten Morgan joined The Diller-Quaile School of Music faculty in 1981 and became the Executive Director in 1998. Ms. Morgan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Harold Bennett and Harvey Sollberger, a Master of Science in Education in the program of Educational Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, NYS School Administrator and Supervisor certification, and a Dalcroze certificate. Additionally, she studied at the University of Michigan and the Dalcroze School in New York City. Kirsten teaches children’s Dalcroze classes and college level teacher training courses at Diller-Quaile. She has served as a vice chairman on the Board of Trustees, as well as chair of the Members Council, for the National Guild for Community Arts Education, and has served as the Non-Degree-Granting member on the National Association of Schools of Music Board of Directors. Ms. Morgan also serves NASM as a visiting evaluator, and has participated as an Annual Meeting presenter. Additionally, she has served on the Music Panel of the New York State Council on the Arts.
